Getting started and quotations

How an enquiry becomes a project, what we need from you, and how pricing works.

8 questions

How do I receive a quotation?

Send an enquiry through the Request a Quote form. We assess your requirements (languages, content, volume, complexity and turnaround), recommend a delivery approach and respond with a project-specific quotation. Every project is assessed individually, so we do not publish fixed prices.

Request a quote
What information should I include in my enquiry?

The more context you share, the more accurate the quotation. Useful details are the type of content (for example manuals, a website, training videos or a live event), source and target languages, approximate volume, file formats, your deadline, the intended audience, and any glossaries or style guides you already have. If you are unsure about any of this, send what you know and we will ask for the rest.

How is pricing decided?

Pricing depends on language pair, content type and subject, volume, complexity, the workflow that suits the content and turnaround. We prepare a project-specific quotation after reviewing your requirements. For larger or recurring programs we can discuss a structure that fits how you buy.

Do you provide instant translation?

No. Anuvaad is not a self-service or instant translation tool. Each project is assessed against its requirements, and we recommend an appropriate delivery approach, which may include AI or machine translation with human review.

What happens after I approve a quotation?

We agree the plan with you: scope, languages, timeline, file exchange and any terminology or style requirements. A secure method for sharing files is provided at this stage. Work then follows the agreed workflow, with review steps before delivery.

See our approach
Can we start with a small pilot?

Yes. A pilot is a sensible first step for larger programs and for AI-related services. It lets us agree scope, workflow and quality criteria on a small batch before scaling up. Pilot scope and terms are agreed per project.

Is there a minimum project size?

We do not publish a minimum. Requirements vary a great deal between a single specialized document, a recurring content program and a live event, so we look at each enquiry on its own and tell you plainly what is and is not a good fit.

Can I upload confidential documents on this website?

Not through the public forms. After we review your enquiry, our team will provide a secure submission method for files and detailed project material, and any specific data-handling requirements can be agreed at that point.

Services and what they include

What each service covers, and how to tell which one you need.

11 questions

Do you provide human translation?

Yes. Translation is carried out and reviewed by human linguists. Technology may support the workflow where it suits your content and requirements.

Translation services
What is MTPE?

Machine translation post-editing (MTPE) is a workflow in which a machine-generated translation is reviewed and edited by professional linguists to an agreed quality level. The depth of editing, from light to full, is chosen according to the content and how it will be used.

AI Translation & MTPE
What is localization, and how is it different from translation?

Translation converts text from one language to another. Localization adapts content or a product for a specific market. Beyond translation, it covers formats such as dates, currency and units, interface text and length, cultural conventions, images and user experience.

Localization services
Do you provide website localization?

Yes. Website localization is one of our service areas and includes content, metadata and review in context where possible. We can work from exported content files or agree another method that suits your platform.

Can you review translations that were done elsewhere?

Yes. Linguistic QA covers review of existing translations, terminology and consistency checks, and, where relevant, checks in context. It can be a one-off review or a standing step added to your current workflow, and the findings are shared in a form your team can act on.

Linguistic QA
Do you provide voice-over, subtitles and transcription?

Yes. Voice-over, dubbing, subtitling and transcription are offered as multimedia services. Language, accent, voice style and delivery format are agreed with you per project.

Multimedia & Voice
Do you provide interpretation?

Yes. We offer consecutive, simultaneous, remote and hybrid interpretation for business meetings, training and events, subject to interpreter availability for your languages and dates.

Interpretation
How far in advance should I book an interpreter?

As early as you can. Availability depends on the language, subject and date, and preparation matters: sharing the agenda, slides and key terms in advance helps the interpreter. Equipment and venue requirements for simultaneous interpretation are discussed when we scope the event.

What are AI language services?

They are language-focused services for teams building or testing AI products: multilingual evaluation, annotation and language-data support, carried out by people against agreed guidelines. Work usually starts with a pilot batch so that guidelines and quality criteria are settled before scaling.

AI & Language Services
Do you provide certified or notarized translations?

Requirements for certified, sworn or notarized translation depend on the authority that will receive the document and the country involved. Tell us where the document will be submitted and what is asked for, and we will confirm at scoping what we can provide.

Which file formats can you work with?

Common business formats such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, web and software content files, and audio and video files can generally be handled. Editable source files give the best result. Tell us the formats you have and we will confirm the approach, including layout work where it is needed.

Languages and subject matter

Which languages we work in, and how specialist content is handled.

7 questions

What languages does Anuvaad support?

Anuvaad works across Indian and international languages. Availability depends on the language, subject and service, so we confirm it when we review your requirements. See our Languages page for the areas we work in.

Language resources
Do you work with Indian languages?

Yes. Indian languages are a central part of our work, including translation to and from English and between Indian languages. Availability for a specific language, subject and service is confirmed when we review your requirements.

Can you handle several languages in one project?

Yes. Many programs cover several languages at once. We plan them together so that terminology, style decisions and review steps stay consistent across languages, and so that you have one coordinated delivery rather than separate threads.

How do you handle regional variants and scripts?

Language variety, regional usage and script matter. We ask which market and audience the content is for, agree the variant and conventions up front, and record them in the style guidance. Scripts, fonts and layout considerations are checked at assessment.

Who translates specialized technical, legal or medical content?

Linguists are matched to the subject and language, and specialized content is reviewed with the subject in mind. Availability of subject specialists depends on the language and field and is confirmed at scoping. For regulated content, your own qualified experts keep the final say on the outcome.

Can you work with existing terminology and style guides?

Yes. Glossaries, translation memories and style guides can be applied when you provide them, and terminology can be built and maintained across projects. Approved terms are agreed at the start and applied consistently across files and contributors.

Can you keep our brand voice consistent across markets?

Yes. We agree tone, style and preferred wording at the start, and record them in a style guide that every linguist on your project follows. For marketing and brand content we generally recommend adaptation rather than literal translation, and we discuss where that applies.

AI, machine translation and technology

How technology fits into the workflow, and how your content is treated when it does.

7 questions

How do you use AI?

AI and machine translation may be used where they suit the content and your requirements, to improve speed and scalability. Human linguists then review, edit and adapt the output, with the depth of review depending on the project. Tool choice and data handling are discussed with you during onboarding.

When should businesses use AI translation?

AI-assisted workflows are well suited to high-volume, time-sensitive or lower-risk content, such as support articles, internal documentation and product catalogs. Brand, legal, safety-related and culturally sensitive content generally needs more human involvement. We can help you decide for each content type.

Is AI output always reviewed by a person?

Our approach is that AI supports people rather than replaces them. Machine output is reviewed by professional linguists, and the depth of that review is set by the risk of the content. If a particular project needs a different arrangement, we agree it with you in writing before work starts.

Can I ask you not to use AI or machine translation on my content?

Yes. Whether AI or machine translation may be used on your content is a decision for you, and we agree it at onboarding. Some clients want a fully human workflow for certain content and a machine-assisted one for other content, and both can be accommodated.

Will my content be used to train AI models?

Your content is used to deliver your project. Whether any technology may process it, and any restrictions you want on how it is handled, are agreed with you at onboarding, before files are shared. If you have specific requirements, tell us in your enquiry.

Can you work in our own platform or translation tools?

Often, yes. If your team uses a content platform, translation management system or specific file workflow, tell us. We confirm at scoping how we can work with it, or agree a practical alternative such as exported files.

What happens to translation memories and glossaries built on my project?

Translation memories and glossaries help keep future work consistent and can reduce repeat effort. How they are stored, reused and handed over is agreed with you at onboarding, so that ownership and access are clear from the start.

Quality and confidentiality

How work is checked before it reaches you, and how your material is treated.

6 questions

How do you check quality?

Review steps are agreed before work begins and repeated on every delivery. They typically include linguistic review, terminology and consistency checks, and format checks. The depth of review is set by the risk of the content, and for higher-risk material we can add a separate reviewer.

How we work
Is the reviewer a different person from the translator?

Where the workflow and language pair allow, review is carried out by a different linguist from the one who translated. This is confirmed at scoping, because it depends on the language, subject and availability.

What if I find an issue after delivery?

Tell us and we will look into it promptly. We check the point against the agreed brief, glossary and style guidance, correct genuine errors, and where useful update the glossary or notes so that the same issue does not recur. Feedback is welcome and is fed back into your project.

How do you protect confidential content?

Confidentiality and file-handling expectations are discussed at onboarding, and a secure method for sharing files is provided once we have reviewed your enquiry. If you need a non-disclosure agreement before sharing material, tell us and we will discuss the right arrangement.

Do you hold industry certifications?

We do not claim certifications on this website unless we state them explicitly for a project. If your organization requires specific certifications or compliance standards from a language partner, tell us in your enquiry and we will confirm what can be provided.

Can your translations be used for regulated or legal purposes?

We can support regulated and legal content with careful, terminology-controlled work. Suitability for a particular regulatory use depends on the rules that apply, and your own qualified experts keep the final say on the outcome. Tell us the intended use so that we can plan the right review steps.

Projects, timelines and delivery

Volume, turnaround, recurring work and how deliverables come back to you.

6 questions

Can you handle large-volume projects?

Anuvaad has experience with enterprise projects. We plan resources, workflow and quality checks around the volume and timeline of each project, and confirm what is realistic before you commit.

How long will my project take?

Turnaround depends on volume, language pair, subject, the workflow used and how quickly queries are answered. We confirm a timeline in the quotation once we have reviewed your files. If you have a fixed deadline, tell us at the start so that we can say honestly whether it is achievable.

Do you support recurring projects?

Yes. We can support project-based work as well as recurring or managed multilingual content programs, including continuous updates to content that changes often.

In what format will I receive the work?

In the format you need. Wherever possible we return files in the same format as the source, with layout preserved. Where you need something else, for example a glossary, a review report, subtitle files or audio, we agree it during scoping.

How are later updates to the same content handled?

When content changes, we work from the previous approved version so that only what is new or changed is translated and terminology stays consistent. The process for updates is agreed at the start so that repeat work is predictable.

Can I give feedback or ask for changes during the project?

Yes. Queries and preferences are welcome, and we record them so that they apply to later files. For larger programs we agree how feedback is collected and how quickly it is applied.
